Emergency Update: Severe flooding at the FRP Sage Center
Recently, a burst pipe from the building attached to our facility caused severe flooding throughout the terrace level of the Sage Center. The volume of water resulted in extensive damage to residential units, program spaces, and staff offices. Staff has been relocated within the building to continue providing services for our families.
The Impact:
Damaged areas include:
- Residential units, displacing two families with the loss of household essentials, toiletries,
- and clothes that will require immediate support to replace.
- The Learning Center had structural damage, a file room, office equipment, and furniture.
- The Community Room, which houses a children’s play area, a full kitchen with appliances,
- and a full hair salon for client use with furniture and supplies.
- Laundry facilities with washers and dryers.
- Staff offices with printers, file cabinets and office furniture essential to daily operations.
